Winter Events

Winter’s chill is in the air…smell the hot cocoa and hear the bells harkening the arrival of Kris Kringle.  It’s time for parades adorned with red and white and the lighting of trees. Later on, temperatures drop, but don’t look for much snow.  Though it’s chillier than other seasons, winter in the Ocoee Region is still very mild.

Carols in the City and Community Tree Lighting
Mainstreet Cleveland lights the community Christmas tree and welcomes Santa Claus. After the tree lighting, the crowd begins a walking tour to each of the historic downtown churches for a musical presentation on the steps of each church. 6 p.m. Mainstreet Cleveland . (423) 479-1000. 

 

 

 



Mainstreet Cleveland Christmas Parade
Local organizations highlight the Christmas season with a variety of floats, bands and caroling. Evening parade featuring lighted floats, Grand Marshall leads off the parade at 6 p.m. First Saturday in December. Mainstreet Cleveland. (423) 479-1000.

 

A Classic Christmas

A seasonal celebration concert presented by Lee University School of Music featuring symphonic and choral performances. Admission is free and open to the publilc but tickets are required due to limited limited seating. For ticket reservation and information call the Dixon Center box office at (423) 614-8343.

Breakfast with Santa
Bring the little (and big) ones to eat pancakes with the jolly one himself! After a delicious breakfast of pancakes and syrup, hear wonderful tales of Santa’s adventures and tell him your Christmas wish! All proceeds benefit Junior Achievement. Event held at Bradley Square Mall. (423) 476-6772.

3rd Annual Trail of Lights
Red Clay State Park

Bring the family and stroll down the trail of lights to enjoy the park in the quiet beauty of winter. Return to the Visitor Center for refreshments and entertainment.

Museum Center at 5ive Points
